The Hills Roll On

The Hills Sr have arrived in Spain and are lovin’ it! They brought the sun with them and have been enjoying the “Tour of Galicia” with their darling granddaughter, fabulous son, and marvelous daughter-in-law (she’s quite humble too!).It’s been like a dream come true to explore this gem of Spain with Gavin’s parents. Not only to spend quality time together as a family, invite them deeper into our life and who we are, but also to discovering this lush corner of Spain together. A dear friend popped that verse at the end of an email she just wrote me. As I wrote her back I was suddenly overcome with inspiration to give glory to God for what He has done in my heart. As I shared with her, let me share with you. Be blessed as you savor His Loving Truth.

…I just LOVE that verse! It reminds me of what He spoke to my heart back in Fernie in the first few days of being His. It was April 2000, warming up, beautiful as only the Rockies are…I was walking by the Fernie River (maybe it had another name, Cariboo Creek or Elk Escapades or something like that. *lol*) knowing that I could no longer continue with “the plans” (the grand schemes of grow pot, get rich by 30 and retire laughing at all the other poor suckers). I knew I was “out”, but where did I go now? I had no plan B. Becoming His wasn’t exactly part of my life plan!! I’d dropped out of University and had no hint of a desire to go back to university. What would I do with my life? I was only 21 and had no idea where I was going and how I’d get by. I didn’t want to work in “dead-end jobs” the rest of my life (housekeeping at Snow Valley Motel was nice for a season, but not for life). I was afraid I’d be poor and it would suck. Thank you so much for even clicking onto this page. That you care enough to lift us up in prayer is a invaluable gift to us and to Him Who Loves us. April is a momentous month for us: the beginning of the end of internship, 2 weeks with Gavin’s parents, all the last details and stuff to do. Your prayers for us this month are very much appreciated; we couldn’t do this without you.

For Gavin: Praise God for gifting Gavin to minister to the youth in Noia. The Youth Night last month was a hit! Please pray for our visit with Gavin’s parents, all the last details and for peace as we prepare to pick up our tents and move once more.

For Tara: Praise God that He is doing so much in Tara! Revealing, releasing, renewing. The spring season very much reflects what He is doing in her heart: releasing NEW LIFE! Pray that she will abandon herself to His Love, trust Him with everything, and give Him glory with all she is and all she does.

For Eden: Many changes are on the horizon for delightful little Eden. Pray that the peace of Christ will guard and rule in her heart. Thank you for continuing to pray for her healing in her digestive system and for her parents who need grace, wisdom and patience!
