Cancelled?
Well after arriveing at the airport to fly from Minneapolis to Ottawa we waited in line only to discover after an hour and thirty minutes that our flight had been cancelled. With the next available flight being completely booked we werestuck for trying to fly on stand-by. After missing the first stand-by flight we were bumped to the next flight (stand-by) which we were able to get to Chicago. We arrived in Chicago just when we were originally scheduled to arrive in Ottawa. The next available flight from Chicago was at 8:20pm which ment that we now had an amazing 4 1/2 hours to wait. The flight was slightly delayed on the departure time due to the fact that it left Ottawa late and arrived in Chicago late. We were blessed however along the trip. When we realized that we were quickly running out of diapers we ended up asking a lady sitting next to us with two children (2 and 5 years) if they had any extra diapers size 4 which Eden could use. Thankfully she did and gladly gave them to us. Good thing Eden is big for her age. Secondly when Tara went to the bathroom to change Eden she managed to let fly and peed all over Tara saving us from wasting a valuable diaper (at lease that is how we choose to see it ). Eden did pretty amazing for her first time in a plane to, and for all the delays she did really well and was quite content. When we arrived in Chicago, Air Canada gave us a meal voucher which was quite helpful because we didn’t pack any American money for the trip. So all in all we arrived in Ottawa at 11:15pm EST, a long day no doubt but thankfully we are home and resting.
